Short answer: the next big Steam sale is the Winter Sale, from 17 December 2026 to 4 January 2027. Before that, Steam Next Fest runs from 19 to 26 October with free demos, and Steam Scream Fest runs from 26 October to 2 November with horror game discounts.
Remaining Steam events in 2026
- Steam Next Fest: 19 to 26 October. Hundreds of free demos of upcoming games. Not a sale, but a great way to try games before they launch.
- Steam Scream Fest: 26 October to 2 November. Discounts on horror and spooky games for Halloween.
- Auto-Battler RPG Fest: 16 to 23 November. A smaller themed event.
- Steam Winter Sale: 17 December 2026 to 4 January 2027. The big one, with discounts across almost the whole store.
The Steam Autumn Sale already ran from 1 to 8 October this year.
What time do Steam sales start in India?
Steam events start at 10 AM Pacific time. In India that means:
- Until early November: 10:30 PM IST, while the US is on daylight saving time.
- From early November, including the Winter Sale: 11:30 PM IST.
So the Winter Sale goes live at about 11:30 PM on 17 December in India.
How to get ready
- Add games to your Steam wishlist now. Steam emails you when they go on sale.
- Check the game’s GameJila page before the sale to see its regular India price, so you know whether a discount is real.
- Many games hit their lowest price in the Winter Sale. If a game isn’t urgent, it’s usually worth waiting.
