Today it is the game it should have been at launch. Play it on PS5, Xbox Series or a capable PC; avoid the last-gen console versions. The Ultimate Edition with Phantom Liberty is the one to buy when it is on sale.

About Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG set in Night City, a dense, violent megacity in a future run by corporations. You play as V, a mercenary who ends up with a chip in their head carrying the digital ghost of rockstar terrorist Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves.
Its launch in December 2020 was famously broken, especially on PS4 and Xbox One. Years of updates, including a major 2.0 overhaul in 2023, rebuilt skills, police and vehicle combat. On current hardware it’s now a polished, ambitious game.
The city is the highlight: vertical, neon-soaked and full of stories. The main quest is strong, but the side jobs are where the writing really shines. You can play as a hacker, a gunslinger or a blade-wielding cyborg, and the game supports each style well.
The Phantom Liberty expansion adds a spy thriller in a new district and is one of the best parts of the game.
The main story takes around 25 hours. Doing the side content properly can push that past 60.
