GTA 6 price in India: editions, pre-order bonus, unlock time and how to pay less

Short answer: GTA 6 costs ₹5,999 for the Standard Edition and ₹7,499 for the Ultimate Edition on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store in India. It comes out on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There is no PC version yet. If you just want the game, Standard is the one to buy.

These are the prices both stores listed when pre-orders opened in India on 25 June 2026, and they are the same on PS5 and Xbox. We check the live store prices on our GTA 6 price page, which also shows any disc offers from Amazon.in and Flipkart once they appear.

Is Ultimate worth ₹1,500 more?

For most people, no. Ultimate adds things like the Grotti Cheetah car, the Squalo boat, two revolvers, extra outfits and tattoos, more vehicle mod shops and some bonus missions and businesses. It’s cosmetic and convenience stuff. None of it changes the story, and you can always upgrade later if you fall in love with the game.

Ultimate makes sense if you know you’ll spend months in it, especially once GTA Online arrives, because the bonus businesses and vehicles give you a head start there.

Pre-order bonus and pre-load

Buy by launch day (purchases before 20 November count) and you get the Vintage Vice City Pack: a ’55 Vapid Stanier with a garage, some ’80s outfits and hairstyles, and a pastel weapon skin. It’s a nice extra, not a reason to rush.

Digital pre-orders can pre-load from 12 November. Clear plenty of space. Rockstar hasn’t published the final size, so plan for well over 100GB and start the download early if your connection is slow.

When does GTA 6 unlock in India?

The PlayStation Store listing points to 12:00 AM IST on 19 November (the night of 18 November), so you should be able to play as soon as the date turns. Rockstar hasn’t confirmed an exact time for every store, and nobody gets early access, whatever edition they buy.

Disc or digital in India?

Early reports say the boxed Standard Edition in some markets carries a download code rather than a disc. If you want a copy you can resell later, read the retailer’s listing carefully before you order, and check that it says “disc” and not “code in a box”. The Ultimate Edition is digital only.

Why GTA 6 is cheaper in India than in the UAE

GTA 6 costs $79.99 (about AED 294) on the UAE PlayStation Store, against ₹5,999 (about AED 233) in India. Ultimate is about AED 75 cheaper here. That’s regional pricing, and it’s one of the few times India gets a better deal than the Gulf.

Don’t make a fake Indian account from abroad to get it. Sony and Microsoft can lock accounts that use a false region, and you’d lose everything on it.

How to pay for GTA 6 in India

• PlayStation Store takes cards but not UPI. If your card fails, buy a PlayStation Store gift card with UPI from Amazon.in or Flipkart and add it to your wallet. Our PSN gift card guide shows how.
• Xbox Store accepts UPI directly, and Xbox gift cards from Amazon.in, Flipkart and Paytm work too.
• Pay only on the official store or an authorised retailer. Grey-market “GTA 6 keys” sold cheap on social media are how people lose money every big launch.

Things worth knowing before you buy

• GTA 6 launches in 13 languages and Hindi isn’t one of them.
• There’s no PC release date. Rockstar’s past games came to PC a year or more after console, but nothing is announced, so don’t wait on rumours.
• If a free GTA+ trial comes with your copy, check whether it renews automatically and turn that off if you don’t want it.
