Extra adds a catalogue of hundreds of PS5 and PS4 games you can download while you’re subscribed, and Deluxe (India’s top tier) adds PS1, PS2 and PSP classics. In India, plans start at ₹649 a month or ₹5,139 a year.
The PS Plus games for October 2026 are F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. Any PS Plus plan (Essential, Extra or Deluxe) can claim them until 2 November 2026. November's games are due to be announced on Wednesday 28 October and should be claimable from Tuesday 3 November.

The three kinds of PS Plus games

In other countries the top tier is called Premium and includes cloud streaming, with PS3 games you can stream. India gets Deluxe instead, without streaming, so PS3 classics aren’t available here.

These are the prices after the 2026 rise of roughly 30 percent. New members paid them from late May 2026, and existing members moved over from their first renewal on or after 19 July. How to claim the free monthly games
- Go to the PlayStation Store on your PS5 or PS4, or open the PlayStation App on your phone.
- Find the PlayStation Plus section and the current month’s games.
- Select each game and choose Add to Library (it shows ₹0 for members).
- Download now or later. Once it’s in your library, you can download it any time while you’re a member.
You only need to add a game once during its month. You don’t need to download or play it in that window.
The best games in the Extra catalogue
Extra is where PS Plus gets properly good. Sony’s own big games usually land there a year or two after release, and right now that includes Ghost of Tsushima, God of War Ragnarök, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Returnal and Horizon Forbidden West. Classics: PS1, PS2 and PSP on your PS5
Deluxe brings back games like Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, Ape Escape 2, Dark Cloud, Syphon Filter and the original Resident Evil trilogy. Many of the newer releases add rewind and save states, which takes a lot of the old frustration out. Is PS Plus worth it in India?
- Essential is worth it if you play paid games online, like EA Sports FC, Call of Duty or GTA Online. The monthly games are a bonus.
- Extra is the best value if you finish more than a few games a year. A year costs ₹8,709, which is less than two new PS5 games at full price, and the catalogue has dozens of games that cost ₹2,000 to ₹4,000 each to buy.
- Deluxe is for people who want the classics. If that’s not you, stay on Extra.
- Skip PS Plus if you only play free-to-play games online. Fortnite, Warzone, Apex Legends and Rocket League don’t need it.
Questions people ask
What are the PlayStation Plus games this month?
This month’s games are listed at the top of this page, with the date you can claim them until. Sony usually announces them on the Wednesday before the first Tuesday of the month, which is often the last Wednesday of the previous month, and they go live on that first Tuesday.
Are PS Plus games free?
They’re included in your subscription rather than free. You claim them at no extra cost, and you can play them for as long as you stay subscribed. If your membership lapses, you lose access until you subscribe again.
Do I keep PS Plus games after my subscription ends?
No. Monthly games stay in your library, but they’re locked while you’re not a member. They unlock again when you resubscribe, as long as you claimed them during their month.
What is the difference between PS Plus Extra and Deluxe in India?
Extra gives you the Game Catalogue of PS5 and PS4 games. Deluxe adds the Classics Catalogue of PS1, PS2 and PSP games, plus game trials. India doesn’t get cloud streaming, so there’s no Premium tier and no PS3 streaming here.
Can I play PS Plus games on PS4?
Yes. Since January 2026 Sony only promises PS4 games occasionally, though most 2026 monthly games still had a PS4 version. PS4 games you claim also play on a PS5.
Do I need PS Plus to play online?
For most paid games, yes. Free-to-play games such as Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex Legends and Rocket League don’t need a PS Plus membership to play online.
