Our take on this month’s games
F1 25 (PS5) is the pick of the month if you like cars at all. It's the official 2025 season with every team and driver, plus the Braking Point story mode, and with the assists switched on it's far friendlier than it looks. EA isn't making an F1 26; the 2026 season comes as a paid expansion for this game instead.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PS5) is a tense, slow shooter where teams track monsters across Louisiana bayous and the Colorado Rockies, then fight each other for the bounty. It's brilliant with a regular squad and brutal on your own, and the first few hours feel unfair until you learn to listen for footsteps.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 (PS5, PS4) is the light one: blocky, silly and built around shooting huge bugs with friends. It won't win awards, but it's a good laugh in co-op on a Friday night.
How to claim PS Plus monthly games
- Open the PlayStation Store on your PS5 or PS4, or the PlayStation App on your phone.
- Go to the PlayStation Plus section and find this month’s games.
- Choose each game and select Add to Library. Members see a price of ₹0.
- That’s it. You can download now or any time later while you’re a member.
Claim every game, even the ones you don’t fancy right now. Once the month ends, you can’t add it any more, and plenty of people come back to a monthly game a year later.
When are the next PS Plus games announced?
Sony follows the same rhythm almost every month:

There are exceptions. June 2026’s games were revealed a day early to line up with Days of Play, and May’s EA Sports FC 26 was claimable for two extra weeks.

If you were subscribed in a past month but didn’t claim that month’s games, they’re gone for good. That’s the one rule worth remembering.
Rules worth knowing
- You keep them while you’re subscribed. Claimed games stay in your library. If your PS Plus runs out, they lock, and they unlock again when you renew.
- PS4 versions aren’t guaranteed any more. Since January 2026 Sony only promises PS4 games occasionally, although most 2026 monthly games still came with one. PS4-only games like Signalis and Chained Echoes play fine on a PS5.
- Monthly games are the same on every tier. Essential members get exactly the same monthly games as Extra and Deluxe members.
- Online play needs PS Plus in most paid games, including several of the games above. Free-to-play games don’t need it.

What time do new PS Plus games come out in India?
New monthly games appear when the PlayStation Store updates on the first Tuesday of the month, usually around midday or early afternoon India time. Sony doesn’t publish an exact time, so if a game isn’t showing yet, check again later that day.
Can I claim PS Plus games without a PS5?
Yes. You can add monthly games to your library from the PlayStation App or the PlayStation Store website while signed in to your account, then download them later on your console.
Do PS Plus monthly games expire?
The claim window does. Each month’s games can only be added during that month. After you claim a game it doesn’t expire, but you need an active PS Plus membership to play it.
Are PS Plus Essential games different from Extra games?
The monthly games are the same for every tier. Extra and Deluxe members also get the Game Catalogue, which is a separate library of hundreds of games that changes every month.
