How GameJila checks prices, writes about games and handles corrections.
Last updated 14 October 2026GameJila exists to help you spend your money well, so accuracy matters more to us than speed. This page explains how we work.
How we check prices
For every price we record the store, the platform, the edition and the amount in rupees, along with the date we checked it. Prices older than a week are hidden automatically rather than left up and wrong. Where a store sets a separate price for India, that is the price we show.
We only list official stores and authorised retailers. We don’t list grey-market key resellers, because keys from those sites can be revoked and you’d have no one to complain to.
How we write about games
Our writers play the games they write about. When a guide is based on research rather than hands-on time, we say so near the top. We don’t invent quotes, review scores or release dates, and we don’t publish rumours as news.
We’d rather tell you who a game is for, how long it takes and which edition is worth buying than squeeze it into a number out of ten.
Software and AI
We use software to track prices, flag broken links and tell us when a page is out of date. Some drafts start from AI-assisted research notes. Every fact, price and date is checked by a person before it is published, and the opinions are always our own.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and update the date on the page. If the correction changes the meaning of an article, we add a short note at the end explaining what changed.
Independence
Stores and publishers can’t pay to move a price up the table or to change what we say about a game. If we ever run sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored.
