How we check prices
Which stores GameJila tracks, how often each price is checked, and why some prices disappear after 7 days.
Last updated 21 October 2026Every price on GameJila comes with the date we checked it. This page explains where those prices come from, how often we check them, and what we never do.
The stores we track

We only list official stores and authorised retailers. We don’t list grey-market key sites, because keys from them can stop working and you’d have no one to complain to.
How a price gets on a page
- We record the store, the platform, the edition and the price in rupees, along with the date we checked it.
- The cheapest current price goes to the top of the table, whether or not we earn anything from that store.
- A price that hasn’t been checked for 7 days is hidden automatically. An old price is worse than no price, so we’d rather show a gap than a wrong number.
- Every day we keep a record of the lowest price for each game. That’s where “lowest we’ve recorded” on game pages comes from.
When a page has no fresh price, you’ll see buttons that take you straight to each store’s own listing or search, so you can check today’s price yourself.
Price alerts
When you set a price alert, we compare your target with the lowest fresh price every time we check that game. We email you once when it’s reached, then the alert ends. We don’t use your email for anything else.
When we get it wrong
Stores change prices without warning, and sometimes we’ll be behind. If you spot a wrong price, tell us with the store link and we’ll fix it, usually the same day. Always confirm the final price on the store’s checkout page before you pay.

Some store links are affiliate links. They never change the order of prices or which stores we show. The details are on our affiliate disclosure page, and the rest of our standards are in our editorial policy.
