Where to buy The Last of Us in India
Is it worth it?
Essential. On PS5 or PC, buy The Last of Us Part I, the full remake. On PS4, The Last of Us Remastered is the same story with the Left Behind chapter included and is usually much cheaper.
What works
- One of the best stories in gaming
- Tense, scrappy combat where every bullet counts
- Left Behind chapter included in later versions
What doesn't
- Some puzzle padding
- Part I is pricey for a remake
About The Last of Us
Twenty years after a fungal outbreak collapsed society, a hardened smuggler named Joel agrees to escort fourteen-year-old Ellie out of a quarantine zone in Boston. The job is meant to be simple. It becomes a journey across the country that changes both of them.
Naughty Dog’s game is built on that relationship. Joel and Ellie’s conversations, arguments and quiet moments carry the story, and the performances are some of the best the medium has seen. The ending is still one of the most debated in gaming.
Combat is tense and scrappy. Supplies are scarce, so you sneak past enemies when you can, craft what you need from scraps, and make every bullet count. The infected, especially the blind Clickers that hunt by sound, are genuinely frightening.
There are three main versions: the original on PS3, Remastered on PS4 with the Left Behind expansion, and Part I, a full remake for PS5 and PC with rebuilt visuals and improved combat.
The story takes around 15 hours.
