Is it worth it?
Buy this if you have a partner, sibling or friend to play with regularly, because it simply doesn't work solo. The one standard version covers both PS4 and PS5, and thanks to the Friend's Pass only one of you needs to own it.

About It Takes Two
It Takes Two is a co-op only adventure from Hazelight Studios. Cody and May are a married couple on the edge of divorce. When their daughter Rose cries over a pair of handmade dolls, the two parents wake up inside them, tiny and stuck in a house and garden that suddenly feels enormous, with a talking relationship book called Dr. Hakim pushing them to work things out.
There is no single-player mode. You play with a partner, on the same screen or online, and every chapter is built around both players doing different jobs at once. One player might fire sap while the other sets it alight; later, one bends time while the other clones themselves. The ideas keep changing, so the game moves between platforming, puzzles, shooting sections, boss fights and small competitive minigames.
It won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2021 and at the D.I.C.E. Awards, and sales passed 30 million by April 2026.
On PlayStation, the Friend’s Pass lets you invite one friend to play online for free, even if they don’t own the game. Online play needs PlayStation Plus for both players, but local co-op works offline.
A co-op playthrough takes about 14 hours.
