Microsoft hasn’t published new Indian prices since then, and most retailers show both consoles out of stock. Check the MRP on the box and the bill before you pay.

Some Indian sites quote ₹59,990 for the Series X before August 2026. Prices have varied by retailer, which is another reason to check the box.
Why are Xbox consoles hard to find in India?
Xbox has always been a smaller brand here than PlayStation, and Microsoft sells its consoles in India through a distributor, Redington, rather than directly. After the August 2026 price rise, stock has been thin. Listings at ₹85,000 to ₹90,000 that you may see online are third-party sellers, not the official price.
Who should buy an Xbox in India?
- Series S suits you if you want the cheapest way into current-gen games and you’re happy with digital only. Pair it with Game Pass and you have hundreds of games without buying any.
- Series X suits you if you want 4K, a disc drive and the best version of Microsoft’s own games like Forza and Fable.
When Game Pass on PC or cloud is the better deal
If you already own a reasonable gaming PC, PC Game Pass at ₹879 a month gets you Microsoft’s games on day one without buying a console at all. The Microsoft Store on Xbox takes UPI, which makes buying games much easier than on PlayStation. Xbox gift cards from Amazon.in, Flipkart and Paytm also work.
