PS5 Pro in India: is it officially available, and what do imports cost?

Sony still doesn't sell the PS5 Pro in India. Imports cost ₹80,000 to ₹90,000 at shops and more online, with no Indian warranty. Here is what we know about an official launch.

Short answer: no, Sony doesn’t officially sell the PS5 Pro in India yet. Imported units cost roughly ₹80,000 to ₹90,000 at gaming shops and often more on online marketplaces, and none of them come with Sony India’s warranty. For most people the PS5 Slim is still the better buy.

Why isn’t the PS5 Pro sold in India?

The PS5 Pro uses Wi-Fi 7, which relies on the 6GHz band. India only opened that band for this kind of use in January 2026. In March 2026 a PS5 Pro (model CFI-7121) appeared on the BIS certification database, which every electronic product needs before it can be sold here officially. That’s usually the step before a launch, but Sony hasn’t announced a date or a price.

What does an imported PS5 Pro cost?

WhereTypical price
Gaming shops in big cities₹80,000 to ₹90,000
Online marketplaces₹99,999 and up
US price for comparison$899.99 since April 2026

Rumours of an Indian price around ₹85,999 have been around for months. Treat them as rumours until Sony confirms.

Should you buy an imported one?

Think hard before you do. Without an Indian warranty, a dead power supply or a faulty disc drive means paying for repairs yourself, and Sony service centres can refuse to touch imported units. And you pay about what an American pays, without any of the support.

It can still make sense if you have a 4K 120Hz TV, you play graphically heavy games most evenings, and you buy from a shop that offers its own written warranty.

What to buy instead

  • PS5 Slim Digital Edition (₹49,990) if you want the best value. Read our PS5 price guide for the disc vs digital maths.
  • A gaming PC upgrade if you already own a decent PC. The money for an imported Pro buys a lot of graphics card.
  • Wait if you’re happy with your current console. An official launch would bring warranty support and probably a lower price than the grey market.

We’ll update this page the day Sony announces an Indian price.
