A great fit for anyone who wants a polished, story-led superhero game that is easy to pick up and fun to just swing around in. The Standard Edition has everything you need, and it's also in the PlayStation Plus Extra catalogue. The Digital Deluxe mostly adds suits and cosmetic extras.

About Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is Insomniac Games’ third Spider-Man title, following the 2018 original and Miles Morales. It launched on PS5 in October 2023, and a PC version ported by Nixxes Software arrived in January 2025.
The story pits Peter Parker and Miles Morales against Kraven the Hunter, who turns New York into a hunting ground for anyone with powers. Alongside that, Peter bonds with the Venom symbiote, which makes him stronger but slowly damages his relationships. Mary Jane and Venom are playable in certain missions.
The open world now covers Brooklyn and Queens as well as Manhattan, and you can swap between the two Spider-Men freely when you’re not in a mission. Each has his own skill tree, plus a shared one. New tools include Web Wings for gliding across the city, a parry, fresh gadgets and Peter’s symbiote abilities. Swinging feels faster and smoother than before.
It was a huge commercial hit, selling more than 5 million copies in 11 days, and it won Action Game of the Year at the D.I.C.E. Awards. New Game Plus was added in March 2024, and a free update in August 2026 brought new suits.
The main story takes about 17 hours. If you want to clear the side content and collectibles, expect closer to 35 or 40.
