Is it worth it?

Santa Monica Studio has earned trust with its last two games, so this is a fairly safe day-one buy for PS5 owners. If you're on a budget, Ragnarök and God of War (2018) are much cheaper now and set up the story.

About God of War Laufey

God of War Laufey is the first main God of War game where you don’t play as Kratos. You play Faye, also called Laufey, Kratos’s late wife and Atreus’s mother, who fights her way through the Everywhen, an afterlife of the gods. Sony has also said Kratos will return in a later game.

It’s made by Santa Monica Studio, the team behind God of War (2018) and Ragnarök, two of the best-loved PlayStation games of the last decade. Expect the same mix of heavy, satisfying combat, big set pieces and a close, character-driven story.

It’s a PS5 exclusive, out on 16 February 2027. PlayStation Studios games have launched at ₹4,999 in India in recent years, and we’ll add checked PlayStation Store prices as soon as pre-orders open. If you haven’t played the last two games, our God of War (2018) page shows where it’s cheapest.
