Is it worth it?
If you play basketball games all season long, this is the current one to own, especially for MyCAREER and MyTEAM. Most players will be fine with the Standard Edition. Deluxe mainly adds VC and boosts, which only matter if you plan to grind the online modes hard.

About NBA 2K27
NBA 2K27 is the 28th entry in 2K’s long-running basketball series, developed by Visual Concepts. It is the first NBA 2K game that skips last-generation consoles, releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. Victor Wembanyama is on the Standard Edition cover, Caitlin Clark on the Deluxe and Derrick Rose on the limited Ultra Edition.
On the court, the focus this year is defence and movement. AI defenders read plays better, the Dunk Meter has been redesigned, and more than 7,000 new animations are based on real NBA footage. A new Takeover system has five disciplines and six tiers, and MyPlayer gets 53 badges and female MyPlayers.
MyCAREER has an 11-chapter story called Fire & Concrete, a dynamic draft board and five playable eras between 1984 and 2016. The Running Mate option lets a friend join your career in co-op. MyTEAM moves to a single Auction House with a new Player XP system, and MyNBA adds CBA updates and no-trade clauses. In The City you’ll find Rucker Park and a new Casual Corner for lower-pressure pickup games.
As with recent years, Virtual Currency sits at the centre of player progression, which is the most common complaint in reviews. There’s no fixed length here. Like every NBA 2K, it’s built to be played through the whole NBA season.
