In Sniper: Ghost Warrior, you play the part of a few characters’ key mission events in their military career during the fight against the oppressing hostile regime. Members like Sergeant Tyler Wells, Private Anderson and El Tejon are some of the people you play as. These are some of the key characters in the game that are tasked with the most important aspects of any mission that you encounter.
The main objective in the whole game, is to assassinate the general of the hostile force, in the assumption that with the head of the organization gone from the picture, the rest of the oppressors will cave in and surrender to the rebels. An elaborate plan is underway to take him out and a secret Agent Mike Rodriguez is tasked with setting the general up for execution. Do to unforeseen circumstances, the General escapes and Mike’s cover is blown. This leads to his arrest and capture by the hostile forces and the general’s clean getaway. The Sniper Unit under your command must now launch a rescue operation to recover Mike and the important information that he holds.
The environments in the game are beautifully created and rendered using the advanced Chrome Engine 4, which was used in Call of Jurez, another classic game by Techland. The engine allows the seamless rendition of lush jungles, realistic rainforests, and animals darting in and out of the foliage and even crocodiles and cows. The game incorporates an innovative AI or Artificial Intelligence which takes into account realistic Field of Vision. This means that if you duck behind a bush, just like in real life, the enemy will not be able to detect you by vision alone.
The single player and multiplayer missions are all well designed and blend in perfectly with the game mechanics to deliver a truly exhilarating gaming experience. City Interactive is the famed publisher for the Sniper franchise.
